The American automotive company Ford continues to keep pace with the times, actively introducing blocking technologies into its products. The other day representatives of the auto concern announced that they developed and patented a system of crypto-currency transactions between cars. The essence of the innovation is that drivers will be able to use the block to communicate between themselves and will be able to apply crypto-currencies for payment in order to reduce congestion of roads, Coindesk writes.
A patent is called a "connection between vehicles for ordering traffic". It has already been published, certified, and all rights to it belong to Ford Global Technologies, LLC.
The main idea of the patent is to try to avoid traffic jams by connecting cars to each other to coordinate the speeds. This method will help to protect the participants of the movement from "the rash behavior of individual drivers who pursue their individual goals with respect to the time spent on the trip."
The system will allow certain groups of vehicles to drive at higher speeds and interact with each other, while other vehicles will independently occupy slower lanes, allowing others to make overtaking maneuvers and increase speed if necessary.
The document also mentions the CMMP token, which will be used to make transactions for the purpose of regrouping vehicles across lanes, and in some cases will help automatically pay for redistribution across lanes between cars. For example, one token will be equal to ten seconds of preferential travel, 60 tokens will provide ten minutes of priority traffic on a free lane on the road and so on.
