Representatives of the Armenian Blockchain Forum announced plans to create an Armenian high-tech cluster. According to them, its own cluster will not only develop block projects, but will eventually turn Armenia into one of the world leaders in the high-tech sphere. The idea was supported also by the Armenian government, therefore the Armenian "Silicon Valley" will begin to be created already in the beginning of 2018.
The government intends to create a special economic zone in which experts from all over the world will work. At the same time, no one is going to limit themselves to blocking services, the authors of the project say about future developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
At the first stage, an accelerator will be launched in Armenia to launch and develop various high-tech projects from different countries, and then they will start to run data centers in the country that will allow accelerator operation. The authors of the project believe that Armenia has the necessary resources, technologies and specialists to implement such a large-scale program.
According to preliminary estimates, for the first year the project will be able to attract about $ 120 million in foreign investments, which will be useful in the implementation of the idea.
