NVIDIA intends to abandon support for 32-bit operating systems

It seems that the producers of computer hardware are beginning to tire of the fuss with 32- and 64-bit operating systems. The need to develop software for each of the two versions distracts from other, much more important tasks and forces you to spend precious developers' time on 32-bit versions of software that are not necessary for anyone. So, on its official website, NVIDIA announced that it will not support 32-bit operating systems in the near future.

On the official site it says , that the support for 32-bit operating systems will be eliminated, starting with the version of the 390 drivers. The manufacturer notes that the new versions of the drivers will not work on 32-bit OSes, therefore it calls to refuse to use them for the correct operation of the equipment. Changes will affect Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10, Linux and FreeBSD, so anyone who uses graphics solutions from NVIDIA, while continuing to "sit" on 32-bit systems, is recommended to migrate to 64-bit OS in the near future.

The developers note that critical security fixes for 32-bit systems will continue to be released until January 2019, after which the support will completely cease.
