The event was also attended by the acting director of the Bitmain crypto currency giant. In his speech, he said that, in addition to mining and production of farms for these purposes, the company decided to try itself in other areas related, including with artificial intelligence.
Bitmain Executive Director Mikri Jan explained that the company has been producing customized chips for quite some time already and that it can be used to create large and efficient data centers. With their help, Bitmain is going to process large data sets and work with artificial intelligence.
Data processing, necessary for AI training, was and remains a very resource-intensive process, therefore large technological giants constantly invest huge amounts in the development of their capacities. Google, Intel and NVIDIA, engaged in their own developments in this area, have their own data centers around the world, and now, it seems, Bitmain intends to make them a company.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are now widely used in various fields and are found everywhere, from autonomous driving and games to medicine and security. Not so long ago, for example, the algorithm Alpha Go beat the best players in Guo, and his "colleague", working in the US police, helped to significantly reduce the level of crime.
