According to rumors, Mask is going to first introduce the Internet radio into the multimedia system of the car, and then develop the idea to a full-featured music service.
Now Tesla cars have access to the Internet and are equipped with a modern on-board computer with a large display, but due to the lack of own developments the company has to use music developed by other companies. Moving to your own music platform would reduce Tesla's costs - so the company will be able to save on royalties and the need to overpay to third-party developers for the need to refine their applications for cars.
