Elements of artificial intelligence used in armament will very soon become commonplace, but before AI technologies are implemented massively, it will take a long time.

The plans to equip missiles with artificial intelligence were reported earlier by the commander-in-chief of the Russian Air Force, Victor Bondarev.
Such missiles will not only be able to independently analyze the environment, but also without outside help decide in which direction to move further, whether to change course, at what speed to make a maneuver and even what kind of goal to choose.
The first flight of the new-generation strategic missile carrier is scheduled for 2019, and the missiles are likely to start testing later.
