To get the opportunity to use the services of a new ATM, the owner of a bank card first needs to "scan" his face - the terminals of the bank uses the technology of recognition of persons developed by Toshiba. In addition, a test ATM will call a video communications consultant and immediately receive expert assistance from a bank employee.
According to representatives of Sberbank, testing of the new technology will be conducted in closed mode until the end of 2017, after which management and technical experts will assess the feasibility of smart terminals and decide on the fate of such devices - it is possible that in the future such devices will gradually replace conventional .
Now Sberbank is actively testing new technologies, trying to automate and improve their services, so at the end of this month in the branches of the bank will begin to appear machines that can recognize NFC modules. At first ATMs will be able to work only with Sberbank's contactless cards, but by the fall of this year they are promised to "learn" to recognize other people's cards.
