Engineers of the Japanese company are working on creating a new prototype of a car that operates under artificial intelligence and is able to understand people and communicate with them. The car can not only celebrate changes in the behavior and style of driving a person, but will also determine the mood and well-being of the driver. In Toyota they develop their own AI, which, according to specialists working on its creation, can be installed in any car. New prototypes of cars under the management of the new AI in Toyota are going to be presented at the end of October. According to the developers, the company plans to show three cars: a single city microcar, a triple prototype and a four-seat sedan. All cars are designed for full integration with AI, so all of their systems will work closely not only with the driver, but also with the program.
The doors of cars will open upwards, which will make it possible to travel comfortably to people with disabilities. In addition, there is a possibility that the usual control elements will be replaced by special controllers and introduce a new system of voice control.
The machines will be fully electric. The power reserve of the three-seat version will be up to 150 kilometers on a single charge, a four-seater can drive up to 300 kilometers.
