Developers of the Vietnamese technology company FPT began work on creating their own self-controlled system, which can be adapted to almost any modern car.
The creation of a complex software and hardware complex requires serious investments, but for this, experts are also needed, so the FPT has expanded the staff to 1,500 people. Experts have already released a test alpha version of the drones for cars, but before the completion of the work is still far.
Nevertheless, the first tests have already been successfully completed - then in the FPT they made a small car that was equipped with a lidar, cameras and its own autopilot. It turned out not bad, but the next task will be more difficult. All this needs to be changed and under the usual car, which is to travel around the city.
Now representatives of the FPT are negotiating with different car manufacturers, but it seems that in the end they will closely cooperate with Asian companies. The main goal of the developers is to create a competitive product, which at the same time will cost quite inexpensively and thus will attract as many customers as possible. By 2020, the company plans to earn about $ 200 million annually on its development.
