Upgrading to Windows 10 has ceased to be free (at least so says the company itself Microsoft, which nevertheless left one way completely free upgrade up to "ten") and on this occasion, the analytical company Net Applications has prepared a fresh report, which tells how the integration of the new OS over the past 12 months.

According to the latest data, Windows 10 operating system is installed on 21.12 percent of computers around the world. Windows 7 still occupies the first line of popularity with a share of 47.01 percent.

As you can see from the graph, Windows 7 was a little bit pestering users (the figure dropped from 50 percent for the first time), but Windows 10 still lags far behind the leader, and most likely the new OS will take a long time to intercept the championship. If we take into account that even the possibility of free updating did not encourage the bulk of users to switch to a new OS, it is hardly to expect any drastic changes in the near future. The growth of the transition is likely to slow even more.

Microsoft hopes that the business will also soon begin an active transition to Windows 10, as many large companies have already announced their readiness to move from Windows 7 and 8.1. Most of them are waiting for the update Anniversary Update, which should appear in the access already from tomorrow.

Returning to the graph, we note that Windows XP still occupies the third place of the most used operating system in the world. It accounts for 10.34 percent of all computers in the world. Next comes Windows 8.1 with 7.80 percent.

Windows 10 managed to increase its presence by almost 2 percent during the last July (then the figure was 19.14 percent). Most likely, the approach of a free update update has affected.
