August 8, 2016 on the site geekbrains.ru registered a million user.
GeekBrains.ru is an educational platform where novice programmers acquire knowledge and skills of Junior-Developer. A year ago, 200 thousand people were registered on the site. For this year the project team did a serious job, and from a small portal GeekBrains grew into a large community of programmers.
In 2015, the portal has a system of internships for graduates. Now on the site more than 30 vacancies from various IT companies. Also, all graduates of comprehensive training programs are given the opportunity to undergo a guaranteed internship from GeekBrains.
Over two years of the service's existence, its most popular free course "Fundamentals of Programming" passed more than 470 thousand people. Every two months there are new courses, now they are fifty-nine, fifteen of which are free. Several times a week on the portal there are free webinars and articles devoted to programming, the total number of which has exceeded a thousand.
Three months ago, GeekBrains launched the IT-incubator - a platform where each user can assemble a team to implement their startup. Now more than 30 projects are being developed in the IT-incubator.
Prior to the release, we developed a project outside the GeekBrains IT incubator. Unfortunately, when it all began, it did not exist yet. Then I manually looked for designers, developers and those who could help with the solution of problems. Now we recruit children in the IT-incubator and are very grateful that such a service has appeared at all - the founder of the mobile application inSearchApp, Alina Mikhailova.
In honor of the millionth user the portal held a large-scale action. The GeekBrains team selected 15 of the most active members of the community and gave training to IT professions. The total cost of the courses was 1 million rubles.
