Some six thousand dollars is required in order to create a fashionable and modern transport equipped with an autopilot from an ordinary city car. Hungarian startup AImotive offers everyone to forget about doroguschie lidars and hang their cars with ordinary cameras of computer vision.
Artificial intelligence and cameras are good when traveling in a new terrain for which no maps have yet been loaded, but the technology has drawbacks: in the snow or rain, such an autopilot is oriented in space much worse. With the fact that the exterior of the car is almost nothing different from an ordinary car, the trunk after all the modifications will be partially occupied with equipment. And where else would you put a powerful computer that will process the data received from the cameras and constantly draw a map of the terrain? Exactly.
In addition, the guys from AImotive created a car simulator for cars that teaches the car to react to obstacles. Experts have already begun to slowly test their development, but there is no further development of the range, because now they do not have the license necessary to conduct a full-scale test drive.
