A few years ago, regular visits to banking offices or long waiting for the answer of call center operators were in the order of things. Now everything is changing: with the help of a smartphone, users already order a taxi, food and air tickets, of course, they want the banking operations to completely migrate online too. As a result of painstaking work, the developers managed to achieve a balance between a good set of functions and a minimalist design. Of course, there were shortcomings, and we will also talk about them.

After registration, which takes no more than a minute and requires only having a card in hand and the ability to receive SMS messages, you can set a password to enter the application, and also use TouchID.
The main screen is built on the principle of "nothing superfluous": data on the balance of cards, information about deposits, loans and savings accounts. Here, there is a quick access to the templates to make the most frequent operations in a couple of tapas. Answers to questions like "when and how much to pay on a loan" are also available directly on the main screen.
"Failing" in each card, you will see a list of the latest operations to make it easier to control your budget, as well as the ability to filter among them only spending, or only the proceeds to the account. By the way, you can replenish the card not only in the ATM or office, but also through the application from the cards of any Russian banks: only the source card data and the replenishment amount will be needed. To send money is also simple: by phone, to friends who have a "Discovery" card, to any Russian banks by card number or by bank details (both physical and legal). I am glad that the developers managed to make simple and understandable even transfers to the requisites - so all the information about the receiving bank will be put by the application itself, it is enough just to enter 9 digits of its BIC.
Every other card has a section "Useful": here it is clearly indicated the information on bonuses under loyalty programs, as well as the peculiarities of tariffs: data on the possibilities of free service, withdrawal of cash in all ATMs of the world without commission and so on. Another interesting innovation, which made the bank "Otkrytie" even more mobile - chat with support right in the application. Forget about calls to the call center and visits to the bank's offices - just ask your question in the chat, and lovely girls from support will answer you in simple and understandable language.
Every month we pay something - a mobile phone, the Internet, housing, a mortgage or a loan for a car and much more. All this can be paid for in a couple of clicks in the new "Discovery" application, forgetting about the queues at the bank branches and the search for payment terminals. Still needed an ATM? The section "On the map" will tell you about the nearest one, and many ATMs will not only have a location address, but also a detailed description of the human language, where, for example, in a huge shopping center there is a coveted blue ATM.
Also in the application there is an exchange of currencies at an advantageous rate, which in conditions of not the strongest ruble is very useful: just go to the app during business hours on weekdays, and courses very close to stock exchange are waiting for you. So before the trip it's time to order a card in euros or dollars, and then change the currency into a couple of tapes through the application. Even in this functional application, you can also open the deposit - the profitability is calculated even when choosing a deposit, which allows you to choose the most profitable and convenient for you personally.
Separately, developers boasted of integrating the most relevant features of iOS 9 into a new application. If you are lucky and have a brand new iPhone 6S in your hands, you can use the application even more quickly and easily with the help of 3D Touch. And even if you are a follower of older Apple devices, you can pay any template faster than before, just by finding it in the Spotlight search for the device - without even going into the application.
And now about the shortcomings. After the update, many new functions were added to the "Discoveries" application, but among them there were no analytics of costs and revenues - we really missed such a section. I'm glad that the developers reassured and said that they are already working on it. I would also like to see a section with discounts, which are many on the cards of "Discovery": however, this business is gainful, and it's impossible to do everything at once.
