The international competition of unmanned vehicles Roborace from 2016 is an official racing event, the purpose of which is to demonstrate the possibilities of artificial intelligence. Today there was a race on the usual track Formula E in Buenos Aires, during which two unmanned racing prototypes were able to compete.
Two unmanned racing cars were going at a relatively low speed, but only one car, which came to the finish at a speed of about 185 kilometers per hour, could confidently demonstrate its capabilities. The second unmanned vehicle never got to the finish line due to the fact that it did not manage the control, having started the turn too abruptly.
The organizers of the event immediately noted the advantage of unmanned racing, saying that in the accident, not a single driver was injured, but so far one thing is clear: the creators of software designed for a crashed car have much to aspire for.
