The topic of growth in the market share of Windows 10 was discussed in a note by Justin Pot, "After only 6 months, Windows 10 tops 8, XP in market share," published by Digital Trends. Data on the market share of various computer operating systems was obtained by Net Market Share, which tracks the operating systems from which 40,000 popular sites are visited.
