This is what we felt in the new game VirCities from the studio IlkFinKom, where the whole city is available to the players - a real platform to prove themselves and ... divide and conquer!
The game captures immediately after launch. The traditional path "from bottom to top" is diluted with an easy and exciting quest system. For success in a particular case, give rewards - for participation in battle, successful work and much more. Most importantly, even becoming a mayor, you will strive for more, and interest in the game will only increase with each level.
Players can get a job in the profession of a doctor, a coach, a military man, a journalist and even a farmer, go in for sports - sounds like the real life of a successful person. Everything can be accessed in the sidebar.
Or open your own companies, so as not to work “for an uncle”, but to do a real job. Get resources? Easily. Produce consumer goods? Easily.
But all this would not be so interesting without the additional "chips" that the developers have prepared for us.
The gangster serials of the 90s about the hard life of the mafia and gangs are resting - in VirCities they will not joke and show mercy: the fierce seizure of quarters, cohesive gangs, ranks, weapons - there is not enough, perhaps, the local “Don Corleone” (however, you can become you). Fights are so exciting that you want to participate in battles again and again.
The main feature of VirCities is the real political process. Elections of deputies and the mayor, the party system, the media, which have a direct impact on the election results, as in real life. Do not forget about the relationship between politicians, companies and entire cities - throughout the game you work closely with other players. The economy is as close to real conditions as possible; therefore, in the future, some experience can be applied in reality.
The game is based on the ideas of mobile networking: there are no NPCs in it, and gamers have to interact with each other, rather than act on a pre-designed template. Everything happens suddenly and realistically: if you became a mayor, then thousands of people really voted for you.
VirCities is a truly unique game in its genre. The developers have gathered the best practices used in browser strategies, and enriched them with their ideas. What in the end? Half of the wording is difficult to break away from the gameplay. Such are the cases.
