The version of the new operating system Windows 9 Preview should appear in the public domain already this month, but photos of the new OS have leaked to the Network. If you believe these images, the preview version of the new Windows 9 operating system will indeed include many features, rumors about which have been going on for more than a month. This is primarily about the "center of notifications" and the support of multiple desktops.
The German site Computerbase.de has published a selection of screenshots of a technical preview build of the working version of Windows 9 (9834). And although it is unfortunately not possible to verify the authenticity of these images yet, we still suggest that you read them and find out what we can expect in the final build of the new operating system.
Start menu and several desktops
Despite the fact that early rumors said that Windows 9 Preview may not have a Start menu, judging by the screenshots in build 9834, it is available and is very similar to what Microsoft itself showed at the 2014 BUILD conference held in April of this year.
As it can be noted, the Start menu combines elements of the classic Windows 7 menu design and modern elements like animated icons that can be found in Windows 8.
At the same time, the screenshots show that the new OS will support the function of several desktops, to switch between which will allow the thumbnails, which will be located at the bottom of the screen.
In the test build of Windows 9 Preview, a notification center is also implemented, which, like in the mobile operating system Windows Phone 8.1, will notify users about what is currently happening with their computers.
More features in the future
As noted above, those who want to familiarize themselves with Windows 9 Preview will have such an opportunity already this month. However, it is unclear whether the functions that are shown in the screenshots in the final version of the Windows 9 Preview build will be present or they will be available later. Again, we are not yet ready to confirm the information that these screenshots are truly real. Microsoft, in turn, does not comment on this leak.
