According to the resource TheVerge, Microsoft announced the termination of the production of RT-tablet Lumia 2520, which, in fact, was the last such device from the company from Redmond.
“We no longer produce the Lumia 2520. However, buyers can still purchase it at our official retail outlets,” say Microsoft representatives.
It is worth noting that other manufacturers of gadgets, such as Lenovo, Asus, Samsung and Dell have previously abandoned the production of RT-tablets on Windows. This was due to very low sales of such devices, since users did not want a tablet with reduced capabilities.
It is reported that the dislike of Windows-RT has arisen for several reasons, among which can be noted the absence of a large number of touch applications and a bit confusing interface. Therefore, this operating system did not go from Microsoft.
