Despite the fact that Microsoft is going to release a new Windows 10 operating system for personal computers this summer, the mobile version of the new OS will appear a bit later. Speaking at the Build conference held in San Francisco (USA), Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president and manager of Windows Phone at Microsoft, shared his plans to launch Windows 10.
“Development of the mobile version of Windows 10 does not last as long as it does in the case of the PC version. Owners of mobile Windows devices will be able to get acquainted with Windows 10 after the launch of the version for personal computers, ”explained Belfiore.
“The support of some hardware, as well as the introduction of some new software products will appear and will not happen on the day of the release of the new OS. This will happen later, ”added a top manager at Microsoft.
“If we consider the issue from the hardware side, now our main focus is on the wave release of Windows 10 for personal computers. However, we also plan to launch new devices and services - the phone, HoloLens, Xbox, Surface Hub, if you name a few - just launching these things will be gradual and most likely not on the same day as Windows 10 is released on PC. ”

One of these functions, for example, is support for the new Microsoft Edge browser (Spartan). “We are in the final stages of the project and are going to distribute new builds through insiders,” explains Belfiore.
