After the last presentation of Microsoft on the Web, they began to vividly discuss their new browser called Spartan, which should be a good alternative to existing Internet Explorer. However, despite the positioning of Spartan as a better product, there are still some questions to it.
One of the main questions asked by users concerned support for extensions with the new browser. Naturally, it was assumed that these extensions will be able to compete with the capabilities of browsers such as Chrome and Firefox.
As we remember, at the press conference, Microsoft did not say a word about the possibility of installing extensions in the Spartan browser. However, some time later, the Redmond company announced in its Twitter account that their team was working on extensions for Spartan.
"We are already working on the possibility of installing extensions in the Project Spartan browser," the company’s representatives wrote on Twitter.
Support for extensions is most likely due to the desire of Microsoft to create a truly high-quality product that users will not associate with Internet Explorer.
Recall that, according to preliminary tests, the Spartan browser, even while being developed, is already circumventing the performance of Internet Explorer.
