The WhatSim SIM card allows you to use WhatsApp messenger for free when roaming

WhatsApp - one of the most popular instant messaging services is making another attempt to increase the number of its active users, which has recently exceeded 700 million. The Italian company has released a WhatSim SIM card to work with the WhatsApp application. Simka provides free use of the messenger in the networks of over 400 telecom operators in 150 countries of the world, including in Russia.

The founder of WhatSim was the head of Zeromobile, Manuel Zanello, who considered WhatsApp "the future of mobile communications." According to him, the WhatSim SIM card solves the problem with expensive roaming and search for free Wi-Fi hotspots abroad.

For 10 euros, the user receives a SIM card for unlimited text messaging between WhatsApp users for one year. Sending and receiving multimedia files (photo, video and sound), however, will not be free. The cost of the service will depend on the country in which the user is located.

Zanello says that for 5 euros the user will receive 1000 credits, which in many countries of the world can be spent, for example, on the exchange of 50 photos or 10 videos. You will not have to pay for the publication of the status and exchange of contacts.

You can buy a SIM card and replenish your account on the website whatsim.com . To get a loan, just go to the WhatSim website and click the “Recharge” button. The company also plans to sell its SIM cards through local distributors in more than 100 countries around the world.

Whatsim shipments will start on February 26th.

It should be noted that this is not the first attempt to offer a SIM-card with unlimited access to WhatsApp. However, all previous attempts of the company were limited to any one country. For example, last year, WhatsApp, with the support of the E-Plus operator, began selling SIMs for unlimited use of WhatsApp in Germany.

Whatsapp owns the social network Facebook, which bought it in February 2014 for $ 19 billion.

Recently, encryption has been applied to Whatsapp user text messages. The use of such messengers has already caused outrage among the governments of some countries who want to have direct access to any correspondence of users.
