Systena Tablet TIZEN

We have already heard that the South Korean company Samsung is developing several mobile devices running the operating system Tizen, which became the successor to Bada. And finally it happened - the first official Tizen-tablet was introduced in Japan.

Systena Corporation, a leading Japanese provider of IT solutions and cloud computing, presented the first 10-inch tablet with a WUXGA screen (1900 x 1200 pixels). The device is part of a software development toolkit. The kit is designed to help developers create tablet-oriented applications for the Tizen mobile operating system.

As for the technical part, the Tizen-tablet is equipped with a 1.4-GHz 4-core processor, a 2 GB RAM module, a 2-megapixel camera and an internal 32 GB drive. Also noted slot for memory cards format MicroSD, support for wireless technologies Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 + HS. The version of the operating system used is Tizen 2.1.

For a change, the nameless tablet is available in two colors - white and red.

It is expected that the new operating system based on the Lynux kernel will be presented at the developer conference, which will be held from October 27 to October 29 in San Francisco. The focus of this conference will be on the Samsung ecosystem.

Earlier, the company stated that it would be wrong to consider Tizen as a “simple alternative to Android”, since the scope of the new platform will be wider. Samsung plans to use Tizen not only in tablet computers and smartphones, but also in the automotive, banking and other industries.

Unfortunately, information about when the Tizen-tablet will be available to the mass consumer, yet.
