Microsoft Executive Director Satya Nadella confirmed that his company plans in the future to integrate all its major Windows versions into one universal operating system. This information was announced by the Microsoft director during the announcement of the company's financial results.
According to the resource TheVerge, the American company has already taken some steps towards unifying operating systems, however, the previous actions covered only some points related to the merger of Windows. Now Nadella plans to completely eliminate the differences of all operating systems that are now being installed on mobile devices, computers and Xbox consoles.
“We are talking about an operating system that can work with all screens. In the next version of Windows, we will combine the capabilities of all previous operating systems, ”says Satya Nadella in an interview with analysts.
In addition, Microsoft will create a single development team that will work on a common architecture. This will allow to achieve scalability of the operating system and lead to the creation of universal Windows-based applications.
Such information suggests that the next Windows 9 operating system will be even more universal than the current version of the product from Microsoft.
