The first thing that immediately comes to mind is the Lytro camera, which allows you to play with the light field. To get the same effect, Nokia did not use hardware, but software. The result may not be as good as Lytro, but the work deserves attention.
TheVerge journalists were able to test the early version of the product. The launch of the application occurs from the initial screen of Windows Phone. Once the smartphone has switched to camera mode, you can take pictures. The software analyzes the scene and takes from two to eight photos, which gives the user the opportunity to adjust the focus after the shooting. Refocus also allows you to play with the colors of objects.
Moreover, Nokia has added to the application the ability to publish images on social networks, which is certainly a plus.
The release of Refocus for Lumia Windows Phone with PureView support is scheduled for mid-November.
