HP's leadership, or rather its executive vice president Enrique Lores, made a rather interesting statement regarding the operating system Windows XP and PC market, which has recently been reduced quite rapidly.
He boldly declared that failure on the operating systems Windows XP, or in other words, the termination of its support could trigger unprecedented growth in computer sales. Moreover, in his opinion, the termination of support for Windows XP will affect the PC market more than the launch of Windows 8, which once had pinned great hopes.

According to Mr. Lores, currently around 40-50 per cent of users are the owners of computers that are running Windows XP. According to IDC, HP is still the largest PC vendor in the world. Its share in the first quarter 2013 was 15.7 percent, which is 8 percent less compared to the same period last year.
