Today, venture fund Runa Capital announced an investment of two million dollars in the Rocketbank banking service. The service allows users to manage their finances directly in the same application for the iPhone.
Roketbank itself is a so-called “light bank”: it is engaged in attracting and servicing clients, while all financial transactions and insurance of user deposits are provided by Interkommerts Bank. The project was launched in 2012 and since then has gained an impressive user base of several thousand people.
The main “feature” of “Rocketbank” is that with its help, customers can use full-fledged banking services, bypassing long queues at bank branches and long waiting hours when calling the support department. All these functions are conveniently implemented in the application for iPhone: right in the program, you can order yourself a platinum debit card Visa and further track all transactions in it.
The subscription fee for using the service is 290 rubles per month. For this money, Rocketbank provides customers with a full range of services, including free card replenishment, cash withdrawals, one-click transfers without commission - to transfer funds to another user, you can simply select it in your contacts. In addition, the application is always available banking support, which will quickly answer all your questions.
It is also worth noting the bonus program of the service - the cardholder receives 1.5% of the value of purchases in miles. The program also provides tools for conducting cost analytics and a discount guide.
The press service of Runa Capital informs that the funds received will be used for further product development and expansion into the regions. Now the market already has services with a similar business model, but so far they are not considering the possibility of entering the Russian market. Among them are Simple.com (USA), FidorBank.de (Germany), holvi.com (Finland) and others.

The application is currently available only for the iPhone, the release of the iPad version by the creators of Rocketbank is considered inappropriate. According to Viktor Lysenko, the Android version should appear next year.
There are no iPad versions and we are not planning yet. We do not see use case for this. Android is a priority right after iOS, an approximate timeline is the beginning of next year, while we plan to add new functions to the program for iOS.
Roketbank focuses not so much on downloads, but on the number of regular customers of the bank.
