As many already know, Microsoft is preparing an update for its Windows 8, which, as some believe, will have to decide the fate of this operating system. We already had the opportunity to introduce you to some of the new features this update will bring. Most of them, as it turned out, are related to the updated Metro interface. However, one resourceful YouTube user found out that the “new” features of Windows 8.1 aren't really that new.
The user showed in the video that some of the “innovative” things that will be offered in the new Windows 8.1 update are not like this, and that in the same Windows 7 there are functions that perform the same role as in the upcoming update.
For example, the search function, which will be refreshed in Windows 8.1, is able to independently write the query you need - all you have to do is write a few first letters, and the system will find all the programs where this combination of letters occurs. But the fact is that the old Start menu is able to do exactly the same thing.
Another example is image search by specified parameters, where the system collects the images you need, for example, one color gamut. Pretty useful stuff. Everything would be great if it were not for the Google Image Search section (image search), which allows you to do exactly the same right from your browser window.
Perhaps all these functions are implemented in Windows 8.1 more elegantly, but how can you give them out for innovative features of the update?
