The system developed by him uses the camera of the smartphone to detect obstacles and display warning messages before the user, fascinated by typing a text message on the go, gets a bump on his forehead. CrashAlert software for the Android operating system allows you to safely move around the city without taking your eyes off the smartphone.
The author hopes that the technology developed by him will help reduce the number of accidents associated with sending text messages while walking. The prototype has already passed successful tests. The CrashAlert prototype is a 7-inch Acer tablet computer with a Microsoft Kinect device on the back panel — a fairly simple and inexpensive way to equip a mobile device with a depth sensor.
