Mozilla has officially unveiled the first two Firefox-smartphones manufactured by ZTE and Alcatel. Entry level devices are designed for emerging markets.
ZTE Open (pictured above) has a 3.5-inch HVGA display, HSDPA connection, support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, GPS, a 3.2 MP rear camera, a Qualcomm single-core processor with 1 GHz , 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of permanent memory and an expansion slot for MicroSD cards.
Alcatel OneTouch Fire differs from ZTE Open only in design. Their characteristics are similar. The first countries to receive smartphones based on the operating system Firefox OS will be: Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Serbia and Montenegro.
