New security hole in Windows 8

windows 8 login screen

If you believe Microsoft - Windows 8 should have become the most secure system among all previous versions of Windows, which will offer several new tools and improved features that will provide it with more protection against unauthorized intrusions.

The truth is that Microsoft forgot to patch one very important security hole that allows you to reset the password settings for an account.

User portal Reboot.pro found a way to quickly reset the password in the login window of Windows 8, while not using third-party programs for the hack. He did this using only the problem-solving functions built into the system itself.

For obvious reasons, we will not give instructions how to do it . We can only say that the password is changed by replacing several Ease of Access files (and its utilman.exe process) with a copy of the Command Prompt executable (cmd.exe) with “administrator rights”.

These actions will completely open access to the computer with Windows 8 on board. Then, by a few more simple commands, the administrator password can be changed without problems.

Surprisingly, this method works on other versions of Windows. (Vista, 7, Server 2008)

It’s ridiculous to say, but just a couple of days ago, the vice president of Microsoft announced that their Windows 8 is one of the most secure systems at the moment and they are sure that they will have to work hard to break it.

Checkmate, as they say.
