The company RIM (Research In Motion) is doing everything possible to motivate Android software developers to transfer their experience to the “freshly squeezed” mobile platform BlackBerry 10 . Canadians have allocated 2 million dollars for this business.
As part of the BlackBerry 10 Last Chance Port-A-Thon program, RIM is ready to pay Android developers $ 100 for each approved application, which they successfully port to the BlackBerry 10 operating system. A limit of 20 different paid applications is set per developer . The program started yesterday and ended today. The virtual event lasted 36 hours.
According to RIM, application developers have shown keen interest in the BlackBerry 10. In just two days, 15,000 applications were submitted for approval.
