Some of the Xperia line of smartphones will meet the new year with the old system (Ice Cream Sandwich). Sony has made it clear that it’s not worth it to rely on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Here is a list of those who do not receive an update: Xperia U, Xperia Sola (in the photo above), Xperia Miro, Xperia Tipo and Xperia Tipo Dual. Miro and Tipo models will not be able to upgrade through the fault of their 800 MHz processors. But the lack of Jelly Bean for 2-core Xperia U and Xperia Sola was a little surprise.
As for the Xperia T, Xperia TX and still fresh model Xperia V, then for them everything "moves according to plan." This means that they will receive their updates in February-March.
After that, Sony is going to release a software package for Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia Go (at the end of March). In April, it will be Xperia Ion, Xperia S, Xperia SL and Xperia acro S.
For more information about plans to upgrade Jelly Bean, the company promised to submit "in the New Year."
