Research In Motion, along with mobile operators, began extensive testing of the BlackBerry 10 . A Canadian manufacturer announced that more than 50 telecommunication companies are actively testing the upcoming operating system. The first devices based on the new OS are expected in early 2013 .
The upcoming BlackBerry 10-driven devices will feature at least one fully touchscreen device and a touchscreen smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. According to rumors, Research In Motion is working on another unannounced device, which is known under the code name Aristo. Translated from the Greek Aristo means "best." Presumably, the device will receive a 4.65-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and stuffing, which in taste and quality will not yield to proposals from Apple, Samsung and other leading global manufacturers of smartphones.
In recent years, RIM positions have shaken. The lion’s share of the smartphone market was taken by iOS and Android. Even the Pentagon abandoned RIM in favor of the two aforementioned platforms. The launch of the BlackBerry 10 is seen by many analysts as a critical step towards restoring RIM’s position in the world.
