As you know, the Windows 8 operating system has two different environments - Metro and Classic. Each user interface has its advantages. In this case, they have one major drawback - it is the inability to select the desired interface during system boot.
According to Rafael Rivera (Rafael Rivera), author of the book Windows 8 Secrets (Windows 8 Secrets), the user of Windows 8 will not be able to select the environment to start when the operating system starts. Instead, by default, the system will load the tiled interface. Of course, the problem is solved by a simple key combination, which in the fastest possible time returns the user to the classic environment. But the idea is different - the user is deprived of the right to choose.
Obviously, in such a simple way, Microsoft is trying to "hook" Windows users on a new tiled interface. Moreover, the company emphasizes that Metro mode should be the main operating environment for the Windows 8 platform.
First of all, this strategy is aimed at users who still swear that they will not switch to Windows 8 for no reason. The average user will most likely not be inconvenienced by this innovation, but for advanced users who are used to working in one environment, this can be an annoying factor.
