Sony has released an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for two more models of its 2011 Xperia line. We are talking about Sony Xperia Neo and Sony Xperia Arc , which can now be upgraded to Android 4.0.4. True, there is one snag.
The fact is that not all batches of these smartphones have received the update. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is currently available for Xperia Neo (MT15) models, which have the following special SI numbers: 1251-2051, 1251-2052 and 1251-2053. And for Xperia Arc update is available if the device has the following SI numbers: 1246-9496, 1246-9497 and 1249-4998. To find out which SI number your device has, you should remove the cover of the smartphone, the battery and look at that place, as shown in the picture below.
Another way is to simply connect your phone to a computer and officially launch the Sony PC Companion application and see if an update is available there.
