Motorola Schedule ICS Update

График обновления устройств Motorola системой Android IСS

A few months ago, Motorola talked about the difficulties of updating its phones with the Android operating system Ice Ice Sandwich. Today, the company has published a schedule for receiving ICS updates for its Android devices.

US users of the XOOM family, including the ATRIX 2 and ATRIX 4G MB860 models, will receive an update in the third quarter of this year. Those with the DROID series will have to restrict themselves for a while to the current version of the operating system, since Motorola did not make the final decision on these models. At the same time, older smartphone models, DEFY, DROID and DROID X, will remain forever with Froyo.

In Canada, RAZR will be updated in the next quarter, while ATRIX 4G will continue to operate under the control of Gingerbread.

As for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the residents of this region will receive an update in the second (RAZR and XOOM Wi-Fi) and third (XOOM 2) quarters of 2012. Nothing has been decided about ATRIX, but DEFY + will remain true to the Gingerbread platform.

In the Asia-Pacific region, an update for the RAZR and XOOM models is planned for the second quarter, and for the ATRIX 2 and XOOM 2 for the third. DEFY and DEFY + models will not be updated.

The latest on the list are Latin America and Mexico. Users of RAZR and XOOM can safely wait for the second quarter, and the owners of ATRIX 2 and XOOM 2 of the third. Model ATRIX and MILESTONE 3 is still in question. Again, DEFY will remain with its version.
