Perhaps Samsung will not update the Galaxy S smartphone with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but the fact that the Korean company is preparing a “combustible mixture” of the Android 4.0 platform and the TouchWiz UI user interface for the i9100 Galaxy S II is a fact. Proof of this can serve two official "firmware", leaked to the global network: I9100XXKP4 / OXAKP4 and I9100XXKP8 / OXAKP8, which were assembled based on versions of the operating systems Android 4.0.1 and Android 4.0.3, respectively.
According to SamMobile.com resource, both “firmware” are alpha versions of the final update, which will appear on all Samsung Galaxy S II devices without exception at the beginning of this year. As you can see, Samsung has done a great job of pulling TouchWiz UI onto the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. This is the alpha version of ROM in action:
