Since Intel refused to release tablets based on MeeGo operating systems (to be used by Nokia) and Windows 8 (which is rumored to be optimized for working with tablets), the company has only one alternative - the Android operating system from Google.
Some reports speak in favor of the latter. The processor giant is about to release Intel Android tablets this year. And after Intel's CEO mentioned in the financial statements for the first quarter of 2011 that Intel received the source code of the Honeycomb operating system, it becomes clear which version of Android the company will use in the implementation of its plans.
Any other information about the upcoming tablets from Intel has not yet been reported.
