The first released Windows Phone 7 update, which caused Samsung Omnia 7 phones to hang, is now withdrawn, as Microsoft has discovered technical issues. The software giant responded with WinRumors, providing information that only some Samsung phones are experiencing problems with the application. As a result, the update is temporarily withdrawn pending a revised version from Microsoft.
However, some users not only of the Omnia 7 phones, but also the Samsung Focus, “turned into bricks” their phones during the update process. Attempting to solve this problem by pulling out the battery or using a hard reset did not lead to the desired result. Interestingly, in this case, Microsoft advises users to carry broken phones to the store.
